YOUR QUESTIONS
We know that planning for your photo session can raise many questions, so we are here to help make the process a little less daunting. We have put together a few Q&As to help you, but should you have any questions outside of these, feel free to contact us.
When should i book my maternity session?
Our maternity sessions are booked between 30 – 34 weeks. This is the best time as your bump is beautifully visible, but you are not too uncomfortable to move around. It can be done earlier; it all depends on how your bump is progressing. Due to our schedule filling up, we suggest that you make your booking at around 20 weeks to avoid disappointment.
Best time to schedule my newborn session?
We strongly advise that you book your newborn session when you are at your 30 weeks mark. This way you can rest assured that your session will happen within 2 weeks of birth {the best time to get the sweetest photographs!}
How soon should i have my newborn session after giving birth?
Sooner is better! To achieve those sweet poses we all love, we require the baby to be sound asleep; this makes it easier to gently move them into the poses. Babies generally stay fast asleep a few days after birth, but after the 14 days mark, they start stretching which makes achieving those poses less simple.
When should i book my cake smash session?
If displaying their cake smash photos at their birthday party or on social media on the day, or for invitations, I recommend booking 4 – 6 weeks before their birthday to allow room for editing and ordering. If having photos, that are a true reflection of them as close to their birthday as possible, is important to you, then I recommend booking the most convenient date just before their actual birthday.
Do we get to choose our photos?
Yes! I love giving my clients the freedom of selecting their own gallery. You will receive a sheet with thumbnails of all the high-quality images to choose from. I will then edit from that selection. This also gives my clients the option to select any additional images that they might want.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. Your 50% non-refundable deposit will be applied to your rescheduled session.
